What to do in case of theft of your works of art?

You've been robbed? One or more important works from your collection were stolen. Besides your insurer, you must quickly register a formal complaint with your local police and report the theft to the bodies which may make it difficult the resale of your work on the market.

The following table shows you, in your place of residence, the main agencies involved.

Proceed in the order.

  1. First, report the theft to your local police and your insurance company;
  2. Suggest, if any, that the work is reported as stolen to higher organisms (FBI or Interpol, as applicable);
  3. Register your own work with organizations authorized for this purpose so that your work appears in their database.
